Book a night with Miss Garbo!
Greta Garbo.
Everyone’s heard that she wanted “to be left alone,” but what happened from there? No one’s ever truly been sure.
The power and mystery of Greta's imagination contributed to her undeniable charisma on the silver screen. In Garbo Dreams, both in the play and in the exhibition, we imagine her personal life and how she used the power of her imagination to cope with betrayal and self-loathing.
In Garbo Dreams, the solo play, we portray the powerful scenario in which Greta faces the last hours of her life and is forced to make choices that will affect her legacy.
Would she choose to reveal herself by leaving behind evidence of her past loves, triumphs, and disappointments? Or would she prefer to remain a mystery, even if that means her legacy will drift into obscurity? Her search for answers constitutes the dramatic arc of the play, as well as companion pieces in the exhibition.
